Basic Contract

Please note a more indepth legal document will be signed. The document is available to veiw for all interested parties.

1. You MUST have a secured fenced in yard...not underground electric fence
2. Your bloodhound must NEVER be tied out unattended.
3. Your Bloodhound will be fed quality food approved by the breeder.
4. You Must keep up to date on all innoculations and parasite preventatives(heart worm).
5. Your Bloodhound must never be allowed "Off Lead" in an area that is not fenced in.
6. All Pet puppies will be given limited registration. These puppies will be required spay/neuter at 6-9 months of age. SAR puppies may be given full registration if they meet the breeder's physical( breed quality) requirements(OFA) and obtain titles in SAR/Tracking however there will also be strict conditions to breeding rights.
7. All puppies who are purchased as show/pets will be given full registration rights with strict conditions to breeding rights full registration has a more lengthy contract.
8. Owners of show quality puppies must agree to a reasonable attempt of obtaining their dog's Championship.
9. Your bloodhound must never be kept outdoors for long periods of time in cold winter months and must have shelter from the heat. (depending where you live) We require our pups to be house pets, not outdoors in a kennel.
10. For reasons beyond your control in the event that you can no longer keep your bloodhound. Your puppy must be returned to breeders at owner's expense unless a new home has been approved by the breeder.
11. all first time bloodhound owners are required to take an obedience course with their new puppy.
12.All owners to have their dogs health clearances completed through OFA or OVC Cardiacs can be checked anytime after 1 year of age and hips and elbows after 2 years of age. All 3 tests cost approx 300.00. Knowing the health clearances of each puppy gives us more information when furthering our breeding program. Owners must complete the OFA's before the age of 3. Puppies are sold for 1500.00 once OFA tests have been completed owners with be refunded the cost. However you must seek a vet with experience in this Area we do not use our regular vet for OFA's.

We are fair reasonbale people. We want our puppies in homes where they we will regarded as family. We Want our puppies to have everything they need ; Love, proper care/nutrition, as well as rules boundaries and limitations. We want our puppies to not only be good family members but also good canine citizens who will represent the breed well. We want our puppies to be placed in stable homes where people have enough time to devote to them. AS the breeders and "first parents" we encourage the new owners to keep in contact share stories and photos of the puppies as they grow many of the puppies form our first litter we still see and their owners have become extended family/friends to us. WE are not interested in placing puppies with law enforcement agencies where the dog will kept in a kennel and have no family or home life. WE are not willing to place puppies for the purpose of breeding unless we know the breeders and agree with their breeding program/ethics.. We work very hard to produce the next generation and WILL not allow our line to end up in the wrong hands.
