can unfortunately have many health issues. Which is WHY it is SO
important to buy a bloodhound from a reputable breeder that has
the knowledge and uses the tools to avoid such heartbreak. Joe Public
who breeds to have a litter probably has no idea about possible health
issues he may be breeding. Most of the time if people ask about health
clearances it is enough when the breeders says "my dogs have no issues.
This should never be the case....we all have issues and many of us will
be open and honest about them.
OFA -Heart, Hips, Eyes, Elbows, Thyroid.etc... Above is the
foundation most of use for health clearances....we see a licensed
Canine cardiologist(or the required professional for different testing
hips.elbows, eye,thyroid ETC and send the results in to be added into
the database. This database is open to the public...therefore if a
breeder says they have done OFA on their dog you will be able to veiw
proof online.
