Well
January 30th We took Anya down to Nobleton to have her hips and elbows
x-rayed. She was such a good girl........I was so relieved when the vet
told me everything looks good! OfA should have the results posted
anytime now.....so we may possibly have a CHIC bloodhound! The Canine
Health Information Center, also known as CHIC, is a centralized canine
health database jointly sponsored by the AKC/Canine Health Foundation
(AKC/CHF) and the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA).
Only dogs passing all required health clearances are given this title. Other than that we have all been waiting for winter to be over.......it's getting old now. There are many exciting things that will hopefully happen this spring. We are going ahead with our plans to breed Anya , as well as welcomming a new bloodhound baby to the O'Brien Family. Once spring rolls around we will have plenty of interesting news and stories for all of you..... If you have not seen the westminster bloodhounds you should check out all the wonderful bloodhounds they had this year. I really do wish the bloodhounds had a larger ring to perform in but some of those handlers still do a wonderful job! take a look here! Westminster

We
are so happy to report that We will be picking up our long
awaited new boy Jereth! We are leaving Thursday March 12th to go
down to Wisconsin to pick him up at Susanna's house! We have been
waiting for a puppy for years.........Now it seems well worth the wait.
We will have more pictures to show in the future and He will start
showing off his stunning looks this summer!

our local show's Sanction match. He did so well. We believe it is
very important to have early experiences like this, so far Jereth seems
to never meet a stranger.....some say he is bulletproof! I
believe he is going to be a natural at ahowing, so far he seems to love
every minute of it! Here are some photos. He is too cute!

Anya
is in Season! We are leaving tomorrow. We will not know for at least
3.5 weeks if there are puppies bt we are hopeful. To the peoiple on our
list, we will let you know as things progress. I am a ball of nerves

Anya Update April 27th (day 17)

sure all of you are anxiously waiting to hear news......SO AM
I.......LOL Anya is doing well, Our trip was good....the procedure went
well....
In another week or so I may know......Unfortunately there are no quick pregnancy tests for dogs.......we must wait until at least day 28 to do an ultrasound......If there are puppies we do an x-ray at day 45 for the count! We are being hopeful but nature has its own plans at times.... How can 2 years fly by so fast but now 3 weeks seems like an eternity? LOL. Is she Glowing?  May 1st Employees at PuppyLove Here is anya and jereth at my grooming shop! Aren't they cute? As you can see jereth is turning into a big boy!  May 9th We Have PUPPIES COMMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had an ultrasound done on Anya it showed 10 puppies! Here is the
Ultrasound picture.....It may be hard to make out but we actually
saw a little face and the vet confirmed that is was indeed a little
face looking at us from in there! For those who have called but not

 Merry Xmas  Jereth, Odin, Esme Anya March 2010 -American Bloodhound club Eastern Specialty show .
We are so Happy to Share that Jereth Won Winners dog and went on to win Best of Winners for a 4 point (over 12 dogs entered) Major on U.S soil!  Our Litle Princess Esme- Boru's Midnight Lullaby also out did herself at the Eastern! Esme Won Best puppy in Sweaps both days, and Won the Bred by Exibitor class! I was so proud of her!  March 2010- Coniston Local show Otis a puppy from our "Tom Waits" Litter won Best Puppy In group
in a very tough group! His owner Troy drove down From Dryden,
Ontario and showed Otis to perfection! We are very Proud of both
boys! Watch out for these guys in the future!
